A Different Kind of Holiday
A tender photographic exploration of my partner at home, inspired by an abandoned holiday and unnerving restlessness in the midst of isolation.
Our calendars were marked with ‘Time Out’, a period set aside for a holiday of any form, it didn’t matter where as long as we were together.
We contemplated going abroad, and then the international borders closed.
We started researching interstate holidays, and then the state borders closed.
We studied a road map of victoria , and then we couldn’t go further than 5km from our home, and only with an essential reason.
So the holiday destination was to simply remain at home, and on every day of the ‘holiday’ I created one unique portrait.
